Tarragon Garlic Chicken

The puff pastry shells can be found in the supermarket frozen food section with the frozen pie crusts and frozen desserts.

Ingredients 

1 Gold'n Plump® Deli Rotisserie Chicken, meat removed and coarsely chopped (about 4 cups)
1 package (17 ounce) frozen puff pastry shells
1/4 cup butter
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups dry white wine or half-and-half
1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh tarragon or 1/2 teaspoon dry tarragon
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions 

Prepare pastry cups as directed on package.

Melt butter in a large saucepan and add garlic. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly.

Stir in flour. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Whisk in wine and reduce heat to medium. Bring sauce to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until thickened, stirring constantly.

Stir in green onions, tarragon, chicken, and peas. Cook 5 to 8 minutes or until hot. To serve, spoon into hot pastry cups.

Tips 

1 Gold'n Plump Deli Rotisserie Chicken yields about 4 cups shredded, sliced, or coarsely chopped chicken, skin and bones removed.

Any flavor of Gold’n Plump® Deli Rotisserie Chicken may be used.
