Lemon Teriyaki Grilled Chicken
This lemon teriyaki grilled chicken is a tastebud favorite and is easy to make.Ingredients
- 8 servings
- FOR THE MARINADE:
- 1/2 cup bottled teriyaki marinade
- 2 tablespoons grated lemon peel
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- FOR THE CHICKEN:
- 2 packages (1 pound, 8 ounces each) All Naturalâ„¢ Chicken Drumsticks
Directions
- Combine all marinade ingredients in a zip-seal plastic bag. Add chicken and seal bag. Refrigerate, turning bag occasionally, for at least 30 minutes or for up to 24 hours.
- When you are ready to cook, prepare grill for medium indirect heat. Position grill rack about 6 inches above coals.
- Remove chicken from bag. Set marinade aside.
- Lightly oil grill rack and place chicken on it. Cover and grill, basting occasionally with marinade, for about 20 to 25 minutes on each side or until chicken is browned and thoroughly cooked. Discard marinade.
Tips
You can also use bone-in thighs for this recipe. Or use 1 package (1 pound, 8 ounces) of thighs with 1 package of drumsticks.
For a light and fruity accompaniment, serve this chicken with Couscous-Currant Salad with Lemon Dressing.
