Gold’n Plump’s Arcadia Production Facilities were purchased in 1993 (then called Arcadia Fryers) and included a production plant, a hatchery and a feed mill. The purchase was followed by an expansion that included the construction of new chicken barns, a new feed mill/elevator, and the completion of plant enhancements to increase efficiency and capabilities.
Today, the Arcadia Production Plant processes about 3 million pounds of chicken each week, primarily for the deli and foodservice business segments.
The Hatchery/Grow-Out Operations is the center for all chicken-growing activities, including hatching, chick delivery and support services to the local farmers who raise our chickens.
The new Feed Mill/Elevator is where locally purchased corn, soybean meal, vitamins and minerals are made into nutritious, proprietary chicken feed. The feed comes in three formulations tailored for each stage of growth and is delivered to the local farms where contract growers raise our chickens.
